Tenant will not move out!

I have a bofa short sale and the tenant (which has no lease or rental agreement with my seller) says he needs to stay about 2 weeks after the scheduled close of escrow. I am wondering....if escrow closes can the new owners call the sheriff and have the tenant taken out based on trespassing? We are in california. Thoughts...suggestions?

Those are great terms for the tenants and/or family members of the mortgagor.

Thanks Harry. Well that is not good news. Hopefully the buyer (buying as an investor) will be able to work with this.
