They have lost our Letter of Authorization twice. We can't even present the current - almost full price offer because they are saying there is NO LoA on file. Does anyone know if they have a specific LoA that is being used and not lost?

Not sure about Metlife specifically but we keep a copy of the fax confirmation in the file when we send in our LoAs. Sometimes having the date it was sent assists the person in locating the letter. I also call customer service before sending the letter, explain that I am working on a short sale, and ask to be transferred to the department handling the short sales. Once there I ask for their specific approval fax number as it is often different than the rest of the bank. You would also be amazed at how often you end up in the wrong department. Make sure you ask the person if they will be handling the short sale in their department. Lastly find out how long it takes to process the docs and make sure to call back after that time to verify that it was recieved and accepted.
Thanks Cameron, This will really help as I send in another LoA again today. I appreciate all the great information!
