We purchased a short sale property last year (october). We just had some water damage due to freezing water and after I requested a clue report I discovered that the previous owner has filed the same claim with his home insurance back in 2008. Is the owner of a short sale under obligation to disclose this info even though the property was a short sale? Thank you for all your help.

A short sale situation, has no bearing on disclosure laws. Being in Fl I'm not familiar with freezing pipes or a "clue" report. If there was a previous claim and it was properly repaired, I don't know if that would need to be disclosed, as per your state's disclosure laws.
