I have a property just under contract and it will be a short sale. What forms do I need to request the HAFA program as they have a $30K 2nd. They had tried to get a mod in the past without success

Hi Jayne,

The borrower must request this from the servicer.  Your clients should have been offered the HAFA short sale option after they were turned down on the HAMP program.  The servicer will send all required info and the guidelines out to the borrower and I will submit on my clients behalf which includes the standard short sale package as well as their required forms that need the borrower's signatures.  They will let you know the acceptable list price as the BPO will be ordered as soon as the borrower is eligible for and expressed willingness to participate in HAFA.

Jayne. The form you need to submit with the contract is the ARASS (alternative request for approval of short sale).

All the forms for HAFA are on this site in the HAFA group. Here's the link to the HAFA ARASS. https://www.hmpadmin.com/portal/programs/foreclosure_alternatives.jsp

Visit the group for additional information, forms and guidelines.
