broken system

Mortgage companies are operating in a broken system...they do not communicate to other departments.  I have an approved short sale about to close, and the Mortgage company (CITI) ordered the house to be locked and winterized and the buyers cannot get in for a walk through.  I called the negotiator and she said she does not know anything about it.

Quite common. I usually just send my locksmith to make me a key.

Ask for their Property Preservation Dept.  Many times you can ask for a key to be mailed overnight to you.
