4 months ago I put an offer on a short sale and 5 weeks later the bank sent an appraiser to the house. Six weeks later the bank countered our original offer and we accepted. Six weeks after that we are told the house has an auction date and 1 week after that we are told the bank wants to do another appraisal because the first one was old. I feel as though I am being jerked around. Is this typical proceedures for the bank (BOA). ? Any advice on how to hurry this along?

The same thing is going on in my short sale with BOA. I am the buyer and we are on our 2nd appraisal, because the first went over 90 days. They have also countered twice without raising the price just changing the closing date. I am told it is with the investor (3 weeks now) but this is the point things get stuck every time and then we start all over at the offer analysis stage. I am not sure why BOA is dragging things out like this (5 months now and counting). My Realtor is trying to get it escalated but that doesn't seem to get us anywhere either.
Sorry, I know that is not much help or very encouraging but I wanted to let you know that at least they are doing it to others as well. Hang in there I guess.
