OMG... if I have to do another B of A FHA short sale I'm going to kill myself! What is wrong with this servicer getting FHA short sales going on the front end? There's only person on the entire planet who can get the FHA short sale switch flipped? Really? A CRM who NEVER answers the phone, NEVER keeps an appointment, NEVER returns phone calls? And, I'm so tired of them blaming HUD... it's not HUD, it's YOU!

Does anyone have any input as to how to best deal with the front end of an FHA short sale? Getting out of home retention and moved to short sale set-up? Thanks.

I was told today after my point of contact tried to initiate the short sale task 7 days ago that because my client was in foreclosure even though she dosn't have a sale date yet the only way to open in short sale is to have an offer first.

she said it is this way on all FHA loans in foreclosure status.

I feel your pain. Was talking to a client yesterday who has a HUD second loan secured (WTH?) and jokingly explaining that out of all horrible short sales in the world, the shenanigans of PNC pops into my mind, the absolutely worst, hands-down, without question, is the Bank of America FHA short sale. Other FHA short sales, no problem, but there is a big disconnect at B of A over these. HUD is no picnic either but that deadly combination of Bank of America plus FHA does make you want to run naked screaming into the street while tearing out your hair and stabbing icepicks into your eyeballs.
