- I have done several short sales from the listing and several from the buyer side this year. I have not negotiated the short sale my self, but worked with an attorney who did a great job with the files.
I have been in Real Estate for 4.5 years, and know that in order to get through the next 4 I will need to continue to work with short sale listings and buyers for REO's and short sales. Interested in exchanging information and keeping up to date on the latest trends and techniques in this necesary segment of our business.

The bulk of real estate sales continues to be pre foreclosed and foreclosed properties, largely because they are, square foot by square foot, the best deals on the market. With the number of foreclosures on the market and more on the way, cities are reacting to ensure the integrity of neighborhoods, and long term property values. Foreclosures and preforeclosures made up a large part of homes selling in the Fox Valley area of Illinois last month. In addition the number of homes on the market continues to decline. Both of these trends bode well for the housing industry, although “complete” recovery is probably still many months away.
