I'm looking for guidance regarding short sales. We'd like to avoid it, but it looks like our house is worth about 40K less than we paid (and we didn't pay a whole lot ($160K - 10 years ago). I don't want to whine b/c I know we've got it a lot better than most. We are caregivers for both of our moms (each living in several states away). We would like to move to northern Illinois to be closer to Mom Abbott. I will mostly read but wanted to say thanks on quite a few topics.
