I own and am living in a home since 2007 that has foundation problems due to water and termite damage. It has a 1st and 2nd mortgage (to achieve 100% financing/Suntrust).I am not behind; but do not have $20000 to $30000 to fix the home. It is becoming dangerous to live in. I'm trying to decide whether to borrow all I can to half way fix it, or try to short sale, or go bankrupt. I'll be 60 soon; bought this home after my ex left me after 30 years. I want out of this home and am way in over my head. I owe 150000 on it and noone will buy it for that.
