Jennifer--I escalated the issue directly to HUD. I escalated a complaint with NSC. The employees that you deal with, with NSC actually belong to a company called Deval. I escalated the issue regarding the credit score and the fact that borrower must be delinquent.
The employees at Deval are as incompetent as those with M & T. They do not even understand their own guidelines. I asked, "why do services request variances on some FHA guidelines and not others?" I've had variances for several different things on past files. She told me that it is the servicers' discretion as to whether they request variances. Basically, she was of no help at all.
My client did not want to be delinquent on his loan, so he cancelled his short sale.
