I had an even a crazier experience with WF. I suggest you open up a case with HUD immediately. If it hadn't been for Michelle from HUD, I never would have closed on my SS. WF kept making up stories, including the SS sup. You have to be on top of it, but for me Michelle performed a miracle.

I had to stop a WF foreclosure sale and I did a Google search for WF execs, asset managers, escalation, etc. I was able to find several email addresses and sent an email to all of them, hoping one might actually get through. I believe Diane King was the person who replied the next day, but I may not have the name right. Sale was scheduled for one week away and she got it stopped. Hope this helps!
