I started my real estate career at a RE/MAX franchise where I happily hung my license for 3ish years, until I was recruited by a well known local developer to manage her sales staff. I obtained my employing broker's license and went to work managing the agents who were tasked with sellling city lofts in 2 completed buildings and pre-selling lofts in 3 "to be built" buildings. When the mortgage market started melting down the financing for the "to be built" buildings evaporated and we subsequently closed the sales office. I then went on to open a boutique style brokerage with my husband & business partner Greg. Attempting to adapt to the new real estate market I learned to do short sales and I have now completed over 30 of them maybe more and I have never lost a short sale that I attempted. I do my own negotiating and file co-ordination and I have successfully closed properties with up to 5 liens on them and losses of over 1 million dollars to a single entity- Bank of America.
