Hi Amy, Don't know what happened with the technology glitch---but basically, would recommend contacting your US Senator from NY and finding the staff person assigned to short sale/foreclosure trouble shooting. Having your Senator's office on board before you contact HUD can be a big help. Your Senator's office may even contact Wells Fargo directly. Please tend to do their jobs more accurately when they know they will be held accountable.
Amy, Pretty typical for Wells Fargo on FHA loans. Uninformed would be the most polte adjective. I would run, not walk, to my state senator's office, and get them involved. Here in Nevada, our state senator has a special staff person just for these issues! You can also contact HUD directly, but I would get your state US senator's office involved. The problem with Wells Fargo FHA short sales on Equator is that you cannot escalate the file to supervisor, team leader, or VP level, like you can with B of A. So appealing to better informed, better trained, better educated supervisors is much more difficult. On my last go-round, our state senator's office called the Pres. of the bank, and the next day the VP called me and asked, "What can I do to help?" That is the result you want. When going to HUD, you want them to know that you have your senator's office on board with you. It carries much more weight. Senators want to be re-elected, and they will use their rescue stories to promote themselves. LET THEM. Offer to be their poster child, if they can get results for you. Higher level people at HUD understand that the Senator is taking names and writing down incidences. Everybody behaves better when their actions could be used to publicly enhance them or crucify them, or their agency. Senators are willing to do both!
