Thanks Bryant, that was a good article as to what it could be. Any one you know using is and how it is used.
I am still bogged down with this 1 BOA deal.
Hi,
They JUST added short sale streamlining on REOTrans, so it may not be up and running. You should be asking reps at BofA if they know anything, or try to get in touch with the elusive REOTrans peeps.

Sometimes you can stream line a short if you have already worked with a certain negotiator on a different file. Normally, they will take your new file and start on it right away.
Tiffany that doesn't work if you called them names in the last transaction!! tehe!!

hahaha! wouldn't that be something. That would be the true definition of "groveling!"
I was just reading today on Active Rain that in order to get your BofA short sale streamlined on REOtrans/Equator, your short sale seller must request it on their side. Does that sound right? I have one coming up here & I want to be sure to get it going :)
Yes Christina, you are correct--the lien holder must request you use Equator, if they are using Equator as a record keeping portal. Some banks are not using the Equator portal to track Short Sale progress and paper work. Some are. I don't know all who are, maybe some other agents can chime in. B of A uses it heavily, including their REO sales. I have a SS with the 2nd at GMAC, and they are communicating with me thru Equator exclusively.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions yet.....not sure Equator "streamlines", i.e. accelerates short sales, but it does appear to help keep track of communications, paperwork etc. So that may help, esp. at B of A in the long run.

Aurora, Wells, Wachovia and Ocwen I"ve closed smoothly and easily using "the old" method of faxing and phone calling.
