Have you had any luck getting an Equator (2nd lien) counter reduced?

1st have approved short sale with $3000 to B of A (2nd). They just countered at $12,500. The seller has no money to contribute, and the buyer wont either. Has anyone had any luck getting them to accept a reduced amount? If so...how did you do it. Thanks!

I have not had this happen on a 2nd with Equator (because I have yet to submit a 2nd to Equator). I have learned, though, that you can submit your counter offer dollar amount and insert a note to the negotiator in the "comments" section (underneath the closing date section). Typically, the negotiator will accept or decline your counter and write you a note back in the "comments" section very quickly. Hope this helps a little bit :)
Thank you. I will give it a try
