here we go.... Provident counter's with a $7000 cash contribution from seller but no waiver of deficiency, it is a FreddieMac loan and buyer is willing to pay FMV.  Seller is current so we couldn't go HAFA - is anybody getting full waivers from Provident?

Yes, I do have a 2nd lien. We also just got a contract on the property so we're submitting those items this week. This will be a HAFA Short Sale, with Freddie Mac being the investor on the first lien. Hopefully PF will adhere to Freddie's HAFA requirements! Does anyone have any experience with PF and a HAFA short sale?

Was it Provident Funding or Provident Bank - they are different. Good Luck! If you have a 2nd or any liens attached to the property, they will not be able to do a deed in lieu. It's not just them, it is any bank. Let us know how it goes. If during the process you speak with someone who was helpful, please post the info :)

Submitted my own personal HAFA Deed in Lieu package to Provident last week. They quoted 30-60 days for the initial review. Should be interesting to see how the process goes.

I am working on one right now. They faxed it over right away. Try a different rep. Also, they will do the BPO up front before the contract.

Deanna - OK - I'm loving them! I faxed in my package on 8/23. They wanted a few clarifications, but the negotiator was very responsive. This is a 1st td - no PMI - no 2nd - FHLMC (if that helps). I received the approval today! They approved the est HUD as written. Not requiring a note or contribution from the seller.

I just sent a new short sale package to Provident Funding. They ARE NOT affiliated with Provident Bank...whew! I'll let you know how it goes. When you take a listing, call and ask them to send the workout package to the borrower. They will not fax or email to the agent, and it is nt available online. Have the borrower fill out the package and send it to you. Then submit with offer, etc....
