Just an update for anyone who reads this page on Provident. I just received an approval on a sale with them (my first ever with Provident) and was very nervous going in based on what I had read about them on this forum and other forums. However, we got full short sale approval with no deficiency in less than 45 days...including the HAFA relocation incentive for $3000 to my seller and $6000 to the second lienholder. Second lienholder (GT) has approved and we're good to go to closing. While it isn't close I must admit that in all honesty it has been one of the smoothest experiences I've had all year.
My one complaint is that I wasn't given as good of updates as some banks provide but at the same time with how quick they worked I'm not going to complain about that. I had been thinking I should avoid Provident short sales but I'd happily take one on again!
