Litton not doing short sales until November 1st??

I called today to initiate a short sale with Litton and they told me they are not doing any short sales until November 1st. This is the first I have heard of this, any feedback on this from anyone?

I'm trying to reach the Litton "House Collections" / Charge-off department.  Just after the BPO value was put into their computer system, the file was transferred to this department.  It has now been 3 weeks with absolutely no response even after multiple voicemails.   Initially, the file was assigned to Kimberly, now it's assigned to a negotiator named "Michael Anthony".

 

This is a 1st mortgage.  Does anyone have a good contact number for the Department, or even a fax number for "House Collections" at Litton?

 

This is a property with Toxic Mold in it (Including Anthrax).  Litton should be dying to get this off their books and every day that goes by it gets worse...

Litton Loan Servicing, has put a nationwide hold on their foreclosure actions.

BTW, that is one of the reasons to post a blog on here, so that the lenders can see it! No need to sugar coat either, they need to know what is happening

Litton does monitor online activity. They responded to a blog that I had on active rain and took care of the situation immediately.

I know that they do... I don't think I am saying anything disparaging... I am so emotionally drained between personal tragedy and unexpected bumps that were thrown at me this past weekend... Litton overall I like as they are quick.... LOVE THAT.... My negotiators have been the bomb... just this unexpected surprise.. Don't understand... Just try to sell homes and CLOSE transactions. = )

Hey Miss Julia,

thanks for your thoughts. After tedious calls to Maine this morning and Texas.... I was able to get the Trustee Sale Postponed... However, I had trust issues with the negotiator, so I went to the court house where the sale was cried to make sure it happened...ready to do a 24 hour postponement for the homeowner... It all worked out.... Now we are on target to close.

In my recent short sale with Litton, I was also in a 1st and 2nd situation with another lender. Litton told me their policy is to extend the sale date once (in fact it was extended twice, the second time we were in escrow) and then they go to sale. We were able to close on time, but it was a lot of pressure. The 2nd was SLS, and they were very difficult in this transaction, possibly due to their investor demands, but you're never told why. Litton actually seemed pretty straight forward most of the time, but I did get that experience where the negotiator said one thing and then said another thing. You really have to bear down on them when they do that.

Good Evening,

I am working a short sale with Litton.. They give quick approvals... However, they are the 1st and I have been working with the 2nd for 6 mos.... SUNTRST MTG...Unorganized mess...
Anyhow, I received the 1st apprvl was told to close by 10 28 2010... couldnt happen, because of the 2nd non permformance in obtaining an apprvl to close.. The negotiator wasn't happy.. they never are... they should walk in our shoes on a couple of these trans actions...

Anyhow he gave an extension to close by 11-28-2010... I thanked him for that and found someone at suntrust whos job is to escalate the apprvl process.. we re-sent our package directly to her and called her to make sure she received... she did and sent it to the investor for appvl..

I have the buyers agent moving forward to close on the 28th.. home inspection complete.. waiting for an updated DU approval..lender needed some updated paperwork.. appraisal is ordered... then yippy skippy... That Litton Negotiator... emails me late friday afternoon and states that the property is scheduled to go to sale on Monday at 10 am... he is not going to postpone unless I have written approval from the 2nd...

Amazingly I had spoken to the escalation dept that morning at suntrust and she told me that hopefully monday/tues we would have an answer.... we also emailed her when we received that litton email and she sent in writing the same answer she gave over the phone...

That is just plain dirty on littons part.. have you had this experience and what ammo can you give me to give them to KNOCK IT OFF!!!...lol
