HAFA and extension

I am no hafa expert but we are being told that HAFA does not allow extensions.  My sellers housing fell through and Chase is saying we cannot do a 30 day extension.  Does anyone have the written guidelines on this?

There are at least 3 different HAFA's - freddie, fannie, non-gov't. They have their own rules. You need to know about your investor's own rules. I have had 3 extensions on 1 HAFA at BofA and a couple on another. The servicer seems to have a lot of discretion here.

What was the resolution on this?  I have a Chase HAFA too and even though it is still within the 120 marketing period of the RASS, they won't extend the closing...
