Great John. And do you have any insight, suggestions, tips, etc. on dealing with their charge off department?
Comment by John Edelman on March 29, 2010 at 12:39pm
It will most likely stay with Greentree- they have a charge off department there.

I was told today that my sellers Greentree 2nd will be charged off. Has this happened to any of you and any idea who the collections company might be? LCS perhaps?

First hing -- if you are not putting the account/loan number on top of each page, your fax may not be getting imaged (some lenders have it such that when a fax comes it, the top of each page is searched for an account number, if it is missing, your fax will NEVER SHOW UP). Try this if you have not already. For ANY Greentree issue, contact their corporate office:

explain what is happening, and, ask for the "Operations Manager" for the state in which your porperty is located. This is teh person that can help make heads roll and get you started....best of luck.

@Paola thanks for the quick response. Green tree is the 2nd lien holder. The rep told me that he got in trouble for having files emailed in the past and couldn't give out his email address.

The reps name is Tony (Anthony) Landetta 480-333-4252 (Direct Dial) That's what makes me think Green Tree is giving me the run around.

My feeling is that they (as a strategy) use collections as a block to keep from reaching other depts, because they would rather go to foreclosure and collect from PMI. As a 2nd lien holder they make more money that way.

Any ideas on how to get around this block would be greatly appreciated.

Ben, whats the name of the rep you are working with?

Leonard, try emailing it to the debt collector its assigned to. Is it a first or a second? Their email structure is [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected], try multiple. You can call back whoever its assigned to and they should be able to tell you their email address.

Having problems with Green Tree, I have tried unsuccessfully for the last two weeks to fax a package into collections, short sale dept and loss mitigation.

When I call and talk to each dept, each dept verifies the fax numbers as accurate and I can't seem to get a fax through.

It's as though someone manual disconnects the call, the fax always terminates 8 or so minutes into the call every time. I have even tried faxing in the early morning hours (1,2, and 5am)

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you do about it?

Thanks Ben!! Of course I'm not giving up!!

sounds like BS to me....did you call corporate and tell the Regional manager that corporate told you to call? Also, i was told to ask for the "Operational Manager" and not the "Regional Manager"....not certain it makes a difference. I would STRONGLY suggest, for your client's sake and your commission's sake, that you try again and not give up!!! Call back to corporate and tell them the regional manager was not helpful...see what they say.....keep fighting!!!!!
