Offer submitted for approval

We agreed on a price and our offer was allegedly submitted to the investor for approval on Sept 4th. We still have not received a response. When I call in to check the status they just keep saying be patient. I have successfully negotiated 100's of short sales and have never had to wait this long for an approval letter once the offer had been submitted for approval. Any suggestions. Who and how do you escalate a GMAC file.
