I have a short sale with Wells Fargo servicing Freddie Mac loan.  Our trustee sale is scheduled for April 4, 2011.  Despite of a FMV short sale offer having been submitted 3 weeks ago, Freddie Mac denied the request to postpone the trustee sale (it was postponed only once before after the HAFA short sale was rejected because they determine that the house payment was only 30.8% of the monthly gross - they counted a health benefit as income).

Does anybody have a high up contact at Freddie Mac who I could contact to get this decision looked at again.  Seller could lose his job due to the effect a foreclosure has on his security clearance (he works for the defense department).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was just looking through my old discussions and noticed I never provided an update for this short sale.  Although Freddie Mac indeed went ahead with the trustee sale and the property went back to Freddie Mac, I was able to get the short sale closed almost 4 months after the trustee sale.  It was not easy and was an emotional roller coaster, but being able to turn things around was quite rewarding.

Ute, curious, how did you work the short sale after the property went to trustee sale?  Wells Fargo sent me a denial yesterday as they do not have enough time on this Freddie backed loan to get an approval and trustee sale is 7/31/12.  They have had the package since end of June and have wasted so much time.  Thanks!

Hello Ute, I would like to know as well...I had all paperwork in July 10th, sale is scheduled for July 25th and on July 13th. I was told that the sale could not be postponed. I'm interested to know what Stephanie just asked.
