Great idea for a group Wendy! I often have questions or comments but I don't want to put it out to everyone because it concerns our State's laws and policies.

Here is a Florida question I hope someone can shed some light on. Can someone explain the final stages of a Florida foreclosure for me? I have a short sale that had a final judgment and an assignment of BID to Fannie Mae in July. I was told by a title company that I could not do a short sale after the final judgment but I went for it anyway. Then I was told the auction date was set for 10/23. I called Bank of America and postponed the auction. At least I thought it was postponed, till I got a call from the tenants living in the house saying someone from Fannie Mae contacted them saying they took the house back on 10/23? The very next day Bank of America ordered a BPO for the property? I called the attorneys and they will not speak to me. I went to the courthouse and they said they do not keep records of the auction . . . I have to wait till the attorneys file the certificate of title and that could take weeks. How do I know who owns the house and am I wasting my time hoping for a short sale?
