Hello everyone,
I am putting together a citi mortgage short sale package. I don't have a contract yet. The lender is Freddie Mac. My question is: has anyone been able to get relocation assistance? Can I put this on the HUD when I do get a purchase contract? BOA mentioned once in a seminar "put everything you want on the first HUD." Do you think I can do the same with citi?

Always ask for $3,000. The worse they can do is say no. Freddie will pay relocation assistance as long as the borrower qualifies for the short sale without needing to make a cash contribution or sign a note. And they have to be the occupants of the property.
Many thanks.
Bryant nailed it, you should have $3000 on ALL prelim. HUD's that go in.....
9 times out of 10 it does not make financial sense for any bank to foreclose over $3000 and if you can get to a decision maker they will allow at least some relo. monies!!!
Great questions - Hope EVERYONE reads and does this!!!!
