Thank you ahead of time for anyone's help. I do not feel like a SS Super Star now as this will be my first SS lost to forclosure in 4 years.

I have SS with Citi prior FHA. Sellers are divorced and ex husband quit claimed house to wife (ex). Ex husband did sign the listing agreement and ex wife did supply joint 2 year tax returns.

Citi was notified ex-husband would not participate ( he stated he did not care if it went to foreclosure) yet Citi continued gathering all Docs from wife who was only one living in home.

We were waiting for answer on great offer-everything done . Now Citi says:

If Mr.EX won't submit his financial information or Ms.EX won't release Mr. from any liability for the property then this short sale will not close. The only way to proceed is for either Me EX to submit his financial information to be reviewed including taxes, bank statements, pay stubs, information on a workable solutions package, or if he won't supply that then Mrs. EX would have to release him from liability. If they both refuse then there will be no way to proceed any further.

This is cancelled right!

Don’t know if we can do anything further as their divorce attorney is advising her against releasing him of liability. Your thoughts and experience would be greatly appreciaited.
