I have had a file going with CITI since January. We have requested a HAFA sale as the seller meets all the guidelines and really could use the moving assistance. We submitted our HUD-1 also showing a $6000 pay off to the 2nd.
Now, 6 months later I finally get a response that the seller does not qualify for the HAFA incentive and that CITI will only pay $1036. to the 2nd. Isn't a "standard" at least $3000 to the 2nd. I've always been successful in getting that amount approved. I have emailed the negotiator back and asked him which under which guideline did the seller fail to qualify for HAFA.
Thse seller is fabulous and is very pro-active. Would it help to have him call and ask about these points?
Any suggesstions would be appreciated.
Happy 4th of July
