Equator Messages don't make it out of Equator platform - Any one getting notifications?

Since Chase went to the Equator platform it's been a pain.  Unless I check Equator every day I don't know if I have a task or a message.  At least with Bank of America I would receive an actual message in my email service that there was a message in Equator so I could check.

I have told them that messages are not getting out but it appears they don't care or know what I am talking about.

Has anyone else had this problem.  Right now the only way I actually get updates is by calling the short sale department and the will tell me if I have a task or message.  So much for automation.

I too have been having the same issues.  I have a short sale with a Chase second (not a first).  It has been under contract since December 2012, someone from Chase calls me sporadically, but they always call the office number (and therefore are going to my voice mail & even though I have given this person my cell number numerous times).  The contract has been with Chase for over 2 months now and they keep asking for updated bank statements, etc. which the seller has been supplying.  But then I go into Equator and there is a message each day that says that the Monthly Marketing Report is overdue!!!  No email coming from Equator to me (as Bank of America does) so, like you said, unless you go into Equator and see it, you don't see the task.  Each day I go in and update the "task" with the statement that we have had a contract up there for their review, someone keeps calling and leaving a message and to explain to me what Monthly marketing task they want me to complete.  I have never had an answer to the question!!!  It is so frustrating, especially because we have had the first lien holder's approval and the only thing we are waiting on is the Chase approval of the second!!!

Evelyn,

From what I have been told, the bank person through Equator must click something in order for you to get notified that there is a email or task in Equator waiting on you.  You could always ask the person at Chase you are dealing with to make sure you are notified via an email when they assign something to you.  Otherwise, I just make it a point to be logged on as much of the day as possible.

Evelyn,

It is definitely not just you as I am having the same problem.  I just log in every couple of days to see if there are any tasks/messages to which I need to respond.  One would think Equator would make it easier for all involved but if Chase doesn't set up their side correctly no matter how "great" the technology is it won't be easier, unfortunately.

I don't do Chase in my office, but this may help. When you go into Equator and see that you missed a message, click on the icon to show the full message. It will include each email address it went to - if you are there, you have a spam filter or other problem, if you aren't there, point it out to your Chase person.

From time to time I wonder how long a McD's would stay open if run by the brilliant minds running short sales at these banks, ya know?

Same problem here- no emails about messages or tasks. I have an offer on a Chase SS and notified the "file owner" person that I need to upload it and wanted to be given the tasks to do so.

Fri I got a message wanting an update and to see if I have an offer and how showings are going.

There are 3 message to date from me that I have an offer. Since I have no task assigned even now- should I just put everything in the library?? I liked it better off Equator for Chase.

This may be wrong for Chase, since I don't do those - but your chase people may be waiting for you to go up to the Equator bar and select "offer" then put in an offer for that property. It is stupid that you are sending messages and they aren't seeing that you have an offer, but there are a lot of not-so-bright people muddling along at these banks. (And, when you click on the icon to see the message that you sent, did it go to someone or to something like [email protected] - which is likely nowhere?)

You definitely should call in and state that you've sent 3 messages about an offer - get it in their notes - and maybe get someone to help you? You don't want this to go to foreclosure and them asking why you didn't call if you "thought" you had a problem.

I was thinking along the same lines, Joe, and went into Equator and clicked on "Offer" but it does not allow you to do anything. I called in today and the woman on the phone said she does these all day every day and there is nothing to turn on so messages go out in emails. OK apparently Chase's Equator system works differently than the others. I uploaded my offer into the library and then could attach it to a message and I faxed it in as well.

She said she could see all my messages stating that I have an offer and needed a task or some way to submit but that I did not specifically answer the one asking how showings were going and did I have an offer.

Almost funny, but not quite.

It appears that the transition to Equator for Chase is far from smooth. I will continue to call the short sale department in conjunction with checking Equator everyday to make sure I am not missing any message or tasks. Nothing like double work but whatever it takes to get a short sale approval. Obviosly the traning for Equator may still be ongoing and the agents don't have the knack of pushing the right buttons to make sure we get the notifications automatically.

Good luck to all of us working Chase short sales!

I don't recall recieving emails either .. I would check into equator regularly and call weekly if there is no movement.

I am having the same issue with equator and have for a long time.  I keep telling them that I am not getting emails and they don't seem to care.  Just say, oh well you will need to check equator for messages.

I am having the same issue with a Chase SS. Now, I log in and it says I have no access to that property. I contacted Equator and they say Chase has removed the property from my account so I need to contact them. Chase says Equator did it and I need to contact them. 3 months worth of work on this in Equator has dissapeared. Chase still says to check equator for my tasks and messages when I call but now I have no way to do that and the file is with Fannie Mae waiting for approval. I never have received any emails that alert me when I have tasks or new messages in Equator. I've called, changed emails, and asked for it to be fixed for months using the online chat but to no avail. Now everything is removed completely yet we are days away from approval. Calling daily is the best answer until they fix the email issue.

Removal is a separate issue and I highly doubt that Equator people did it - that would be a very big no-no. I have been on the phone with reps at WF and BofA as they have put a file into my Equator account - based upon the email address set up for it. This is no big deal for those banks so I expect that Chase is capable of doing the same thing.

From the days of faxing things 23 times to the bank, I have always kept a paper copy of anything I got or submitted, for history, and kept a copy of what I sent on disk in its own folder(s) for the property - used to resubmitting. And when the bank drags it out for months, they will lose them again or say things expired, so having them handy for updates is useful.

You might have only had it "denied" in which case, you can go into Equator and do a SEARCH for your property and every instance of that file being started in Equator will show up with its files in its (now various) libraries. I can't tell you what Chase does with the files or if they make them available to you - I know from BofA that they absolutely have the files that you have submitted, but WF claims some insane privacy by making it impossible to see anything that you have submitted, etc. The specialists have sent me files that I have submitted, probably in violation of WF's lunybin policy. So, digging in harder and pushing the rep around (or his manager or escalations) will likely get someone to actually lift a finger and bring back your files.
