Chase 1st and BOA 2nd. Do I need to submit short sale packages to both lenders?

Hi all, I am new to this forum.  I'd like to find out if I need to submit short sale package to both lenders.  Please help.  Also, how long will it take to process a Chase short sale?  Half a year?  One year?

Are both going to be short or just the second? If both are short, yes you need to submit to both. If you are a newby to Chase, you are in for a heck of a learning process as they are not easy to work with. My success with Chase is average 120 days but I think others on here can get them done alot faster than that
Jeff, thanks for the warning. This is my first Chase short sale. So far, I hear nothing but bad things about Chase. Ha..ha..ha... 120 days is really good. That gives me a little hope. Both lenders are short. How much will the 2nd (BOA) get from Chase?
Caroline-
For Chase, try calling Jessica with the "List Assist" Department. She can be reached at (866) 233-5320, Ext. 3241659. She has been very proactive with the Chase listings that I have been working.
Chase is really different depending on the investor on the loan and what part of the country it is worked in. HAFA seems to be taking a while with Chase.

We've had a few non-HAFA transactions that have taken 60-90 days.
Caroline, of course BofA is going to want as much as they can get but Chase is only going to allow a small portion. I would shoot for 10% to the second if you can.
Lisa, Thanks for sharing this great info!
