As I have mentioned before, this bank is either the dumbest bank in the history of man, or the most brilliant.  They are soooo nice on the phone when they are either lying to you or talking out of their #$%. Negotiators and closers do not have the ability to see any notes on this file from a previous submission.  This means that if a negotiator had been working with you and the file had to be closed because it took too long, NONE of the notes from that negotiator are available to the next person to work the file.  This means that the previous negotiator could make all sorts of assertions that pretty much mean nothing.  NOTHING.  Escalation department is a joke.  I literally had a woman in the escalation department tell me that she had no authority to do anything.  She was just there to make sure that "everyone was doing what they were supposed to be doing".  When I told her that, clearly, they were not, she said, "I'm sorry".  She was able to transfer me to the Office of the President.  "SWEET!", I thought!  Nope.  They are useless, as well.  The only thing I got was a direct contact.  But, she, too, had no authority to move anything along.  When I was told that the file was in review with the Underwriter and should be done well before 48 hours and it actually took over 72 hours, her excuse was - "i'm pushing as hard as I can".  I asked if she could go look and tell me exactly what the hold up was.  She said she couldn't do that.  That the underwriter was looking at files in the order received.  

I even tried to find a contact above the Office of the President.  I thought I had found one, but when I called the phone number, I was told that person did not come up on the company directory.  

Now, they are jerking me around again.  

I have been doing short sales for 7 years now and have never had a roadblock like this.  Just be forewarned that your credibility with your clients may take a hit if you believe the drivel that Capital ONE short sale department feeds you.
