I have processed thousands of SS, this is a definite first! I have a client, who does not have an apparent hardship... Her mortgage is only 15% of her income. The hardship we presented with was a relocation for work. She lives in Orlando and commutes to Tampa each day. BB&T wants a promissory note for $50,000, and she doesn't feel that arrangement would be beneficial. We have gone back several times even raising the offer to a $10,000 cash contribution. The bank is unwilling to budge. FYI this is a bank owned loan, no investor, no mortgage insurance. Any advice would be helpful!!
