Hello,

I need help locating right people in charge.

In my case the 1st loan is serviced by Bank of America and the 2nd loan was serviced by Litton Loan Servicing which went under last year. I don't know what happened to the 2nd loan since 2009 because the home owner claims not receiving bills or correspondence from Litton since 2009.

I traced the ownership of this lien to America's Wholesale Lender which is another name of Countrywide as I understand. Countrywide now is part of Bank of America. So its the lien of Bank of America at the end of the day.

I have contacted my negotiator in Bank of Amreica and asked to verify if the lien belonged to Bank of America. She refused and simply replied that it was not her problem, but my problem to locate it. I contacted twitter BOFA suctomer service. It was the same ending result. I was directed to work with my negotiator on this.

I really need help to get rid of this lien so I can sell the home. If anybody knows a contact person in Bank of America who has the authority and knows how to verify the ownership of the lien, please send me the info. I will be very greatful!

Thank you Blair! I have tried it. It shows Bank of America as the investor of this loan. Unfortunately my negotiator did not buy it.

I suggest that you contact a good settlement attorney.  I have had a couple of cases of a "lost" trust in the past.  The settlement attorney was able to get someone to post a bond which covered the potential liability of the 2nd.

This is a very interesting suggestion. I will try to find a settlement attorney and explore this option. Thank you Ellen!

Do you mean Debt Settlement Attorney? Was the property located in California? Was the property sold after the bond was posted?

Thank you!

I mean a regular settlement attorney.  I work in Washington, DC.  That is where the properties were located both times when I had this come up.  Both properties went to settlement.  There was a local lady who specialized in this type of bond.  It is quite awhile ago.

Hi Inesa,

I have the same problem as you.  The 2nd lien was with Wilshire Credt Corp, and BofA took over.  BofA shows having the 1st loan but not the 2nd.  I called BofA and they put in a request to do the research but I don't have time to wait until 11/13/15.  Did you find anyone that you could speak to to help expedite faster?  Please call me if you do have a contact person. 858-232-3209.
