Hi Everyone, CitiMortgage 2nd lienholder. I finally after a year of negotiating with the first lienholder i have received an approval letter with them agreeing to pay the asking net amount to Citi. Citi has had this file with Fannie Mae to issue the approval letter since Jan 2nd and still no letter!!!!! Now the 1st has expired, but thankfully they will issue a new one upon receiving 2nd's letter. After all this hard work, buyer is about to give up. Can't get through to anyone at Fannie Mae, no managment with CitiMortgage. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance!! ~~ Stacey.

"The squeaky wheel always gets the grease." Even if you do not have the correct person to call, your loan officer should know. Call him or her every morning until you get something. Try to get his or her email address and every early afternoon send an email. Your constant pestering may generate results - even if it is just to get you to leave him alone. Concentrate your efforts on Citi rather than Fannie Mae. You will never find the correct person with Fannie Mae and will be frustrated trying.
