Hey gang.  I'm trying to write an article for my blog.  I am looking for local newspaper links where banks SUED a homeowner after foreclosure.

If you have a local newspaper in your state that has written any such article or have any stories related to lenders suing homeowners after foreclosure please post back here.

THANKS SO MUCH!!

  • Don't have any helpful info, but this is a very interesting subject.  "Will they come after me?" is such a hard question to answer, and we get it all the time.  My understanding is, if there's no fraud involved, banks suing borrowers is very rare.

Those with strong hardship reasons I would think are pretty safe, even if no release letter.  Not that they're immune from being sued, but if they cooperated in a short sale it's hard to see them losing in court.

It's the strategic defaults, of course, that are taking a big risk.  But trying to quantify that risk is really difficult without the kind of info you're looking for.
