Why do they need my address?

Hello, all!  I put in a bid on a short sale home several weeks ago.  The appraiser was sent out 2 weeks ago.  Today, my realtor informed me that the bank, in addition to other information, wanted to know my address.  I asked why and he did not know.  Does anyone know why the the bank holding the short sale would need the address of the potential buyers?

    Standard. Why would you care? It's usually on the purchase agreement any way.

    occasionally they will investigate the buyer.

    BOA usually always requests.

    Typically it's not needed. Maybe they want it to reflect on the Est. HUD. What is your concern?
