Hi All,
I am new here. I've been an investor for some time but have never used shortsale as an investment strategy.
Is this still a viable option in today's market?
What about the seasoning issue?
Any info would be appreciated.

Sheik, Here is an article from DSNews that might give you some insight about investors buying short sales.
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for the reference.
Would you know anything about the seasoning issue? - do investors have to hold these properties for 30-90 days?
Thanks.
Sheik - Yes in some cases they must hold 30-90 days. It depends on the investor on the loan.
It would seem to be that in order to make any profit at all you would need to hold for 30 - 90 days while renovating to flip? I have not seen discounts big enough lately to be able to flip it immediately without doing any work to the property.
