Yes, you can short sale a reverse mortgage  You will need to work with the lenders - just like any other short sale.  We short sold a reverse mortgage a couple of years ago and it was "extra" complex.  Be prepared - most likely the lender's customer service and negotiators won't be familiar with the situation and use "Sorry, we can do this" or "Disapproved" to get it off their desk.  You will need to be persistent.
