  • They normally will not accept a contingency contract.  If the buyer's house already has a contract on it, that's a different story.

          The best bet would be to speak to the negotiator to see exactly what they need in this situation. An additional item to  provide may be a letter of explanation signed by the buyers to help the mortgage servicer fully understand what is taking place.

  • That should work. Or a HUD. Good luck getting the short sale lender to "get it". Not sure I would do a contingency contract on a short sale. But of course all markets are different. We have too many available buyers to have to bother with complicated contracts. Good luck!!!
