  • You can have the homeowner write up a qualified written request.  By law I believe the homeowner is entitled to that information.  are they giving you a reason why they aren't telling you?  Did you check the freddie and Fannie sites?? They have an area you can just plug in and find out if they are the investor.  Also, MERS has an area that will tell you who the investor is.  If you can't find it through those three methods, I know in my state when they publish the foreclosure in the paper 90% of the time the investor is noted. 

     

    The qualified written request will help if none of the above does only I think they have 60 days or more to respond.
