Ocwen foreclosed property

Our loan was transferred from Homeward to Ocwen 10 days ago. Before it was transferred HUD was approved by Homeward but no approval letter given. We immediately contacted Ocwen and sent the whole package again. This week Ocwen said it was close to be approved since closing date from Homeward was set for May 29. Today I called Ocwen to get status and they said it now was in foreclosure. Shocking!!! Seller hired his attorney originally just to postpone foreclosure against my will and three weeks ago Homeward sent an email they would extend closing date 10 days and asked to postpone foreclosure as well. I doubt attorney did his job but my question is can this get reversed back to a short sale process by Ocwen or is it too late? Ocwen short sale dept. did not know until today that it was in the process of being foreclosed on!

  • Rick,

You're information isn't clear. Was your property foreclosed on today ( went to sale ) or is it simply in the process of foreclosure?

    • We just found out this morning that it was sold on auction through the courthouse on Feb 26 and purchased by plaintiff Deutche Bank. Short sale was transferred on Feb 28 from Homeward to Ocwen and everything was basically agreed upon. Homeward sent us a message through Equator on Feb 21 that they needed to extend short sale closing by 10 days to Mar 29 and they also said they requested to postpone foreclosure which I guess they didn't do and neither did sellers attorney which he said he did. I guess nothing can be done at this point ,right? Never lost a short sale so very dissapointing!
