We have 2 of our short sale files that are now requesting that the file be handled through National Quick Sale. It is $99 to set up (they waived the fee for me). Now they are also telling us that they are going to charge 1% of the purchase price & a $200 admin fee PER FILE. These are Fannie Mae backed loans. I cannot understand this.

Is anyone dealing with this & what has been your outcome?

Susan, who told you it had to be handled through them? I'm pretty sure that company is based out of my town, Jacksonville, Florida, and it's just a Realtor/investor group that "buys" properties OR they negotiate the transaction for you. The lender didn't request this, did they? Was it the seller? I would be leary. In my town, I work at a real estate attorney's office that handles short sale files all day long and I have heard this is a scam.

Please let me know.

Amy,

Thanks for your response. It is a third party program much like the banks use to manage their foreclosed assets. It is supposed to 'speed the process'. The bank is the one that chose to use them. They are not a party to any transaction, nor do they help with the negotiations.

Just what we need. Another company trying to squeeze between us and our money. I have not heard of this company. Have you Googled them to see what you can find out?

Here's their site http://www.nationalquicksale.com/

A lot of it is still under construction.
Yep, I did a lot of research on it. I was just hoping someone here has had experience with them. It appears that another ActiveRainer was told to deal with them and said no because she says they are not licensed therefore they cannot get a commission. http://localism.com/blog/ca/sacramento/posts/1143216/Looking-for-Sh...
