We are meeting with agent today to discuss a price amendment on our SS offer due to a low appraisal ($30k less than offer). We will be including a copy of our lenders appraisal, but wondering if there is any particular language that should be included in the amendment to argue our case?

Additional explanatory language is not included in a price change amendment, as a rule. You could, however, state it is due to whatever clause in your sales contract states the purchase is contingent on the property appraising for contract price - IF your contract has such language. Not all contracts do. If you are trying to get the short sale lender to change a price, the listing agent or negotiator can submit the appraisal to that lender. Finally, the price change amendment may not be accepted by the seller, since he still owns the property.
