There has been some great posts on IndyMac/One West Bank and I thank you for those insights but...I am having difficulty with a file that keeps spinning it's wheels in the Loan Mod. dept and I can't get it into gear so it can be sent over to the Short Sale Dept.  This file is an IndyMac loan but I have had the same trouble in the past with a Chase file.

No matter how many times it gets escalated it is stuck in Loan Mod.  My client has sent 2 letters stating very clearly that he does not want to pursue the Loan Mod but wants to proceed with the Short Sale and I am still getting a runaround.  In fact, my client received a denial letter for a HAMP modification and at that point we received an offer and submitted that over to the lender for a Short Sale. They then decided without my client's consent that they would try to qualify him for another type of Loan Mod.   This same thing has happened on another Chase file a few months back.  Does anyone have any insight for me ---the Short Sale pkg. was submitted on 3/17!
