I have an investor who denied the postponement of a sale date. I have a good offer for this property. I called the bank and the gal I spoke to said unless I have a connection with Freddie Mac there is nothing she can do to postpone the sale date with is next week. Does anyone have a number I can call? The bank I am working with is Wells Fargo.

  • I had the same exact situation with Chase and unfortunately it did go to foreclosure.  I tried the email to FreddieMac outreach and did get an email back asking if the seller was in bankrupcy etc. and then heard nothing.  I tried all the phone numbers and called Chase every day and was told because of the time of the deficiency FreddieMac would not postpone the foreclosure.  FreddieMac told me Chase makes the decision.  Chase was unreasonable and the home went to sale on the court house steps and was sold for $257,000 and the cash offer to the bank was $275,000 from a buyer.  The lenders are in total control over the decision to postpone or foreclose.  Good Luck!
  • They did and I closed the deal! Be persistent!!
  • Thank you so much for this information. I hope that they were able to help you in your situation. I will give it a try as well.
  • Email from Freddie Mac I received with email and phone #. Good luck!
