Jeff - I find it strange, too! VERY Strange. It came up in our prelim title search. We are just at the early stages with Citi, so I will have some time before I worry too much. Tee Hee on your getting them to act!

VA and SHIP? that is strange. Will Citi put it in writing that this lien does not exist? I had a similar experience with Citi, they told me that the loan was not in my sellers name, that it was in her ex husbands name. When I said "Great, can you put down in writing that Ms XXXXXXX is not responsible for this mortgage?" they quickly figured out that she IS on the mortgage.

Hi Jeff, I called the Santa Rosa SHIP office by accident. They told me to call Okaloosa County. The strange thing is, Citi is not aware of this lien (so they say). It's a VA loan, so this ought to be interesting.
