I know I have chatted about this before, but I am still STUCK! I have now 4 B of A FHA Shorts, soon to be 5.. that are just sitting within the B of A dept. Has anyone been able to find a way around this or a solution? The Social Media Team at B of A was very helpful to get me in contact with the Presidential Escalations Team, but since then... nothing. No on will return a call or answer an email and these files just sit. Calling into Short Sale Support is a complete waste of time, as they just go through the docs and blow smoke as to the reason why they are not active. I am almost to the point where I do not want to take any more of these particular Shorts, but I know that is not in the best interest of our clients (the homeowners :) If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears!!!

You need to go to HUD the government organization that administers the FHA program. Please see the FHA short sale group on this site. Also, please note that your letter of authorization MUST NOT have the owner's social security number on it (unlike every other LOA) and it should have the loan's FHA case number on it. The easiest way to get the FHA case number is to pull a copy of the mortgage (see if your recorder of deeds has a website) and it should be printed on page 1 of the mortgage document.
