I found MorEquity vs. MoreEquity to be in my market primarily selling to RE Investors post auction without going through REO listing. Anyone know if these are two separate companies or just two different spellings of the same co? I'd love to get the contact info for the REO department in Southern California if anyone has one.
I closed a short sale with MoreEquity last year. Went very smoothly. They even paid $2,850 of buyer's closing costs, $2,500 to the 2nd mortgage, and paid a HOA lien that we negotiated down. They also gave the seller full and final satisfaction of the note.
MoreEquity is smart enough to cut their losses now rather than grandstand for more money and lose twice as much later.
Thanks for the GREAT info Gretchin! Right after I posted this I called the 800 # on the seller's statement and was told to fax the 3rd party auth to the attention of Donna L. I asked for her last name but they wouldn't give it to me. Thanks to you I now have it....along with email.

I had a closing in February with them. 30 days from submitting to approval letter.

Donna Lampton was my negotiator and she was actually great to work with.

I often am able to get negotiators to let me submit files directly to them - so shoot her an email and just ask. Good Luck :o)
