Equator Timeline?

Hello Short Sale Super Stars!
I am a buyer of a short sale, and boy does it take patience! Here is a quick run down: Made an offer early October 2010. The loan was sold from Suntrust to Nationstar after our offer was in, and then Nationstar transfered over to the Equator system. So....no news until Jan 3 2011, when we were told that we had been assigned a negotiator and were in the system. Then on Jan 13 2011 we heard that the BPO was done by both the 1st (nationstar) and the 2nd (Suntrust) mortgages. Can you give me even an approximate timeline from here?
Thanks!
Courtney in Salt Lake City, Utah

  • Courtney - You've already been in a terribly long process.  Even though BPO is done now, if the previous delays were caused by inefficiency, it could be several more weeks.  Have your agent check in with the listing agent or negotiator once a week.  Also, ask him to join our site.  Best of luck.
