  • Unless you are authorized by the seller to speak with Bank of America regarding the purchase of the property, then you won't be able to speak to them.  You have to get this in writing too.  Who is negotiating?  If it's an agent, call their broker and complain.

    • Thank you, that's what I was afraid of!  We have tried everything.

      • Who is negotiating your sale?

        • Well it's convoluted to say the least.  Halfway through, the listing agent left the company and moved to another one, so the negotiations were left with a transaction coordinator who in reality has done a pretty good job, it's just not a priority.  So I have included her broker, my broker, etc., but our hold up is the negotiator and her line of authority.  They just don't respond!  We just need a name change from the buyer's  trust to the buyer's name only.  You would think we were asking for 8% commission.

          • Is it a 3rd party negotiator or a Realtor?

            • It is a Realtor, but through equator.

              • Well if you're not getting updates, go to the Realtor's broker.  Also if you have a buyer's agent, THAT person should be doing all of this for you.  I'm sorry you're going through this.  I think the #1 complaint I hear about short sales from people is lack of communication.
