Countrywide/BOFA Quick Hint

Call 1-866-888-1232 and DO NOT ENTER THE LOAN NUMBER when prompted. Just stay on the line, listen to the multiple requests for loan number. When the auto-responder says, "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO WAIT FOR A REPRESENTATIVE?" Say "YES". That way you will get straight to the Short Sale phone bank, not customer service. This will save you at least 10 - 20 minutes and one layer of transfers.

I've also heard that you have a shorter wait when you choose the Spanish alternative.

Thanks for this tip! I have a stale CW/BoA listing that I got another offer on this week, so I'll be calling them next week, once I get the package together.
